This page is a compiled list of many different resources that can help with planning your carbon cutting journey or engaging in carbon cutting activities. Everything you do can quickly add up when reducing your carbon footprint, and this page will be updated as new resources are available!

Carbon Tracking

Carbon Footprint Calculator. This is a great tool for estimating your carbon footprint and finding ways to start offsetting your emissions.

UN Carbon Calculator. This is another great tool for estimating carbon footprint and seeign what you can do to reduce it.


Energy

Energy Star provides helpful guides and comparisions for energy-efficient appliances. They offer an rebate finder for these products as well - allowing you to save your wallet and the enviroment at the same time!

Michigan Clean Energy Association provides information for consumers to get into the solar power payback system which can help recover the costs of implementing a solar system sooner.


Recycling Initiatives

Barry County Recycles has a large amount of resources for those living in the Barry County area to use to guide them through recycling options available to them.

Kent County Department of Public Works gives tons of information for residents and organizations in the Kent County area to get involved in recycling. They have a simple search system to make it easier to look up recycling by specific material as well.


Transportation

The Rapid provides public bus transportation in the Grand Rapids area. You can view their schedules, maps, fares, and other information from their website. Public transit is a great way to reduce carbon emissions by reducing the vehicles on the road.

GR Downtown Area Shuttle has free transit in Downtown Grand Rapids from Monday to Saturday. This can make it easier to travel the downtown area without a car, especially for groups. A map of their routes is attatched on here.

Barry County Transit is similar to The Rapid, however provides service to Barry County. They are flexible and you can be picked up from home. Rates are relatively low as well. Primarily services Hastings and Middleville.
